https://bugzilla.arklinux.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=291 [email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |NEEDINFO ------- Additional Comments From [email protected] 2004-02-04 00:43 ------- The first thing we need dto know is if the card is indeed detected. You need to go into mission control->Network/Internet->Configure Adapter Since you are trying to cofigure a wireless device, you need to click on Network/Ethernet. Once that is completed, A new Dialouge will open. The top bar will say the Card name. Keep in mind that linux may use a single driver for several version of a single device, becuase many devices use the same chipsets. You should hten be able to set everytyhing to automatic. The last tab on the far right, you might have to hit a side arrow up at the top, will say something like Wireless. In that tab is the configurations for wireless devices. Once you have configured your device and can successfully ping other computers on your network you next step will be to configure the proper Workgroup, by installing and using Ksambaplugin. Which is available in synaptic. This is not yet a standard item, but we are moving to samba at this time. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
