Description of Problem:

Starting the pcmcia service on a toshiba tecra 8000 (PII 333Mhz 128Mb) causing
the system to completely hang. A reset is needed to gain control. Laptop is ok
if pcmcia is disabled on startup.  However for a laptop this is not good as it
is its main peripheral interface.

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start up ArkLinux
2. OR
3.Start service in services area in Mission Control

Actual Results:

System hangs

Expected Results:

System should not hang and pcmcia usable

Additional Information:

This will prevent installing ArkLinux and I may have to convert back to windoze!
