It wasn't specific at all: it said 40x Max Variable CD-ROM drive and it did not list the manufacturer. I guess I will have to open it up it see, because it does not respond and the LEDs aren't getting power/aren't responding so I can't look it up on my computer in the System Information because it does not even know it exists. As for that firmware, I think I will go to the LGE site and download the drivers or whatever I need. I will update this with any progress I make or any suggestions for anyone that comes across this problem.
