Summary: Arklinux fails to properly install CDRW drive
           Product: Ark Linux
           Version: 1.0 alpha10
          Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
           Affects: Overall Usability
         Component: arkinstall
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Description of Problem:

Arklinux does not properly install my cdrom drive. It creates a
symbolic link from /dev/cdrom to /dev/hdc. Knoppix, which works
correctly, uses /dev/scd0. Changing /dev/cdrom to point to
/dev/scd0 allows mounting the cdrom from a root shell and everything
seems to work. CD's are not automatically mounted and no icon
appears.

Rebooting causes /dev/cdrom to point back to /dev/hdc and the
cdrw drive does not work.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

1.0 Alpha 11.1

How Reproducible:

Install Arklinux on this hardware.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:

CDROM drive doesn't work. Putting in a CD does not cause an icon to
appear on the desktop. Mounting /dev/cdrom doesn't work unless /dev/cdrom
is changed to point to /dev/scd0.
