Description of Problem:
ArkLinux installs apparently successfully on an Emonster 600 system from
Emachines (600 MHz Pentium III, Nvidia Vanta NT graphics card, 256 MB of RAM,
4GB of hard drive space available for Linux installation). Starts boot process
normally, but right after login, monitor shuts off and never comes back on.

How Reproducible: Extremely
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Turn computer off
2. Turn on and boot Linux
3. Watch in verbose mode as it loads; right after login, monitor shuts off
Actual Results: Blank screen
Expected Results: Appearance of KDE desktop
Additional Information: System boots Knoppix 3.2 CD (Version 2.78), but with
same problem (monitor is disabled)
