Summary: Kynaptic doesn't complete upgrade when many items are
                    selected
           Product: Ark Linux
           Version: 1.0 alpha11
          Platform: pentium3 (PC, Intel)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Low
           Affects: Overall Usability
         Component: synaptic
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

THIS IS ACTUALLY FOR KYNAPTIC, BUT IT'S NOT LISTED IN THE DROPDOWN!!
Description of
Problem:
I went through the entire package list on my freshly-installed alpha11 box and
selected and de-selected many packages. Then I clicked on the "Execute"
button, and Kynaptic explained all of the steps it was going to take,
including removing packages and installing packages. Then, it simply exited
back to the list, resetting all of my changes. When I tried to do my updates
a group of packages at a time, it works fine.

Incidentally, if kynaptic can't download a file that you've selected for
upgrade, it _also_ bombs off and doesn't work. (Even though it asks you if
you want to continue.)

So, basically, the error-checking needs to be a little more friendly.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kynaptic 0.5-2ark

How Reproducible:
Honestly, I don't know. I'm not wanting to wipe my install to try again.
Sorry.

Steps to Reproduce: (more than likely)
1. Fresh install of alpha11.
2. Install and remove a number of packages from the "All Packages" list.
3. Execute.

Actual Results:
Undid all of my changes to the list, and did nothing.

Expected Results:
An actual upgrade.
