Summary: Network Neighbourhood function crashes in Konqueror
Product: Ark Linux
Version: 1.0 alpha5
Platform: athlon (PC, AMD)
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Affects: Overall Usability
Component: kdebase

Description of Problem: Konqueror crashes consistently when Network icon is
clicked on destop. A separate but possibly related problem occurs when in
Konqueror Web Browser and you select LAN Browser from the Navigation Panel (F9)
which does not cause a crash but does produce an error stating the lisa daemon
is not running. ps -ef says otherwise (/usr/bin/lisa is running).
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Konqueror is
3.1.0.cvs20021118.1ark.
How Reproducible: After ensuring lisa is running, click on network icon on
desktop. Crash should happen.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch mission control from start menu
2. click on advanced system settings
3. click on system services
4. click on lisa under available services
5. click start to start lisa services
6. click on network icon on the desktop
7. konqueror should crash with results below
Actual Results:
Expected Results:
Additional Information: I have setup a network involving the linux machine and
a Windows XP desktop. Using SAMBA services, I was able to see the Linux machine
shared directory for a user and password combination that exists on both
machines. I was able to start smbclient on the linux machine and access the
windows shared directory. The net of this problem is "network neighbourhood" is
not working on the linux machine.
