How long have you waited before determing that the program has failed. Qt
PArted actually has to read some data from all of your drives to determin=
e
the partition information. This can take a considerable amount of time if
you have large devices. I assume this has something to do with the way
parted the backend of qtparted works.=20

This is the current version. You can check what version you have by
running rpm -qa |grep qtparted in a command line window. I can't reproduc=
e
your problem here at the moment. Qt parted starts up just fine here.

I can't imagine the ntfs drive giving it problems, so maybe another dev
can chime in here. You might also try reinstalling qtparted by doing the
following apt-get install qtparted --reinstall in a commandline window.=20
