The problem with that (I also worked on KControl long ago), is that *keep this 
quiet* most of the KControl Modules are unmantained... most of the developers 
that developer it originally aren't even answering e-mails and they didn't 
use Designer (and there are current developers that refuse to use Designer) 
so, it's hard to update them (if all of them where done in Designer, I could 
fix most of the problems in one hour or two ;)
The other problem is that there weren't very good rules a the begining (are 
they now ?) so, KCMs are a jungle.

I disagree here... making another application doesn't make much sense, but it 
would be nice to be able to run KControl in diferent modes, sysadmin, 
netadmin or something like that, to show diferent sets of configurations and 
KControll all where everything is show, that would 'kick ass'.
