Honouring home directory locations....

I realise that this is a nitpick, but....

I recently moved my root account home dir to /home/root instead of /root for 
consistancy in the directory structures. However, it seems that there are a 
few applications that think that /root is always going to be there. One major 
one that I have noted is XFree86. After a recent update to X, I found a 
new /root directory in my tree and a .xauth directory underneath that. 
Please, from now on, do a check of the $HOME variable or the home dir field 
in /etc/passwd to get this right and avoid hardlocking /root to, well, / .
