I compiled it fomr the kde cvs tree. It plans to implement recording and 
XMLTV
I have no idea when it is planed to be alpha one and or beyond. Maybe 
there is a possibility that the ark team could assist in dev if they would 
allow us to use this in this distro. I do believe however that it is open 
source or gpl.
