Sorry, I did a mistake. I meant 2.6.10, not 2.4.10 as I wrote in my previous
posting.

that said:
- here I'm using dockyard-devel
- I've tried the latest kernel (2.6.10-1ark) with ark's ndiswrapper rpm and it
hangs. In fact this was the first kernel I tried when I got the wi-fi card
- Looking at the kernel-source rpm (I don't have the srpm here atm)

""""
[piffio@zardoz configs]$ pwd
/usr/src/linux-2.6.10-1ark/configs
[piffio@zardoz configs]$ grep CONFIG_4KSTACKS *
config-2.6.10-1ark-athlon:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
config-2.6.10-1ark-athlonsmp:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
config-2.6.10-1ark-i586:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
config-2.6.10-1ark-i586smp:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
config-2.6.10-1ark-i686:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
config-2.6.10-1ark-i686smp:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y

config-2.6.10-1ark-pentium4:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
config-2.6.10-1ark-pentium4smp:CONFIG_4KSTACKS=y
"""

so, basically, CONFIG_4KSTACKS is turned on for all the kernels in
dockyard-devel.

Now I'm still wondering what would be the impact on the system
(performance-wide for what I can understand about it) with turning off this
config option.
