-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This are the states of things as for family and personal mode, if anybody has anything to add or change, please do! (explanation: this ir the configs that my program will change when going to family or personal mode): personal: /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:AutoLoginEnabled=true /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:MinShowUID=500 /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:MaxShowUID=501 (just in case) /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:AutoLoginUser=arklinux family: /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:MinShowUID=501 (to avoid arklinux user) /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:MaxShowUID=65000 /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:AutoLoginEnabled=false /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:AutoLoginUser=arklinux (in fact, won't be changed) - -When going to family mode, if there's no user avobe 501, a wizard to create a new user will appear, if there are users, a warning will appear: "You will know require a password to log in, be sure to know the password of one of the already defined users. That user should be an administrator if you want to remain as an administrator" (please, some make this text SIMPLER!!!) The user administration tool: The user administration tool will be extremely simple, "Add User", "Remove User" and some other little things, will ignore users acording to /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:MinShowUID and /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc:MaxShowUID. In the normal mode (the default), the user will be able to put users into administrator mode or user mode... in advanced mode, kapabilities tweaking can be done. So, people, what do you think... doesn't seem so hard. - -- Pupeno: [email protected] http://www.pupeno.com PS: If someone has a better name for "personal", please, say so, I found a user who finds it friendly. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAEKp3tCepaMf3unIRAhJ3AJ9Zye4HUyVbKshYy+c1H3/vEadT/ACfedO/ JknBMiqYoApCxTJ4rrHvdCs= =FW3O -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
