USB Mass storage

Ok, I dont know if this is compiled in the kernel or not. I assume it is, 
but I have recieved a few reports of problems. Where the device never 
automounts and is also not mountable manually.

On report included the folling information from a dmesg screen.

Now I dont know if this is an issolated inccident or not. Im just posting 
it here instead of in bug reports in case USB mass storage is indeed not 
compiled into the kernel. In which case that would make this a request for 
it to be.

 From what I see here, the device is timing out and refusing to be assigned 
a useable address. So the device can never actually mount successfully, 
becuase there is no hardware level communications. Either the kernel or 
the device is at fault. So since the device timesout it does not actually 
exsist to mount. I have tried explaing this to people who request support, 
but they dont seem to understand even if I take down to a scenario where 
the person is playing an game and gets lagged out. :-D, I tried. I really 
dont know where to start with this when someone ask for help on it. I 
would appreciate any insight any of you might have in correcting such 
problems in the future.
