Thats very intresting. I dont have auto log on enabled friend, and i can 
logon with arklinux and root, using no passwords. Did you set up kdm to 
allow for passwordless logins ?

Did you read the manual, oh wait your using alpha 9, alpha 10, does warn 
you, in big Red bold print over the autologin box.
