still cdrdao works, so the problem seems to be dvdrecord/cdrtools.  ive read 
about problems with programs setuid not being able to work and cdrecord being 
one of them (with kernel 2.6)  while searching google.  who knows.  i know 
its not something specific to arklinux at least.

is there no temporary solution?  i tried changing group permissions to users 
and it just resets it back.
