Hi everyone. I'm having trouble getting both the 2005.2 and Dockyard-devel versions of AL working on my computer. The problems are (as usual) with the x server and my USB mouse and keyboard. Graphics problem: The screen comes up for a fraction of a second, then the screen goes on and off quickly non-stop. The only way I get get to a working console at all is by putting in the install disk, getting to a console from there, and then mounting my ark partition. Using this method I tried deleting my xorg.conf file and found ark locking up after every boot thereafter. I proceeded to stick in a MEPIS CD and copied a working xorg from there, which was very shortlived as not long after I tried to get the nvidia drivers on there and that killed xorg once again. When the screen blinks on and off incessantly I cannot get any input in there whether I'm using my keyboard and mouse by USB, or whether I'm using them with the PS/2 adapters on (they should work with ark that way). Input problem: I cannot get my USB mouse and keyboard to work at all with the current Dockyard-devel unless I use the PS/2 adapters, I can live with that, but I can see this becomming an issue with other users. I realize this may be in part because of my hardware, these issues have come up a couple of times before and while some releases didn't work that well for me, others did. If this is something that's going to be fixed soon I'd like to know when. Thanks.
