Looking for information on Raid 5

I am looking for information on building a raid 5 system a cross 4 300g 
disks. I am on a Intel main board with Intel Raid set. Is there a way or 
instructions on how to build it as a raid 5 with dmraid util? Is this a 
kernel rebuild or is it not supported yet. I have read some of the threads 
and it looks like some people have pulled it off. I am just not finding 
enough information on how this can be done. I guess I am asking if there is 
a proven way to make a raid 5 disk set?
