Yes, I was already aware of that. Getting the patch in upstream is not 
an easy job.

Adding dm-raid45 to Fedora would be a very good step IMO. It would give 
the code a lot of testing against kernels which are closer to recent 
upstream than the ones in RHEL5.3.
