Hey,

   could someone explain what this feature in Kernel 2.6.38 means?

Skeleton for the DM target that will be the bridge from DM to MD 
(initially RAID456 and later RAID1). It provides a way to use 
device-mapper interfaces to the MD RAID456 drivers.

   Can I now stop hunting for dmraid5 kernel patches? Do I still need the
dmraid userspace tools? What does this mean in practice?
