Hi,

I've seen such issue a long ago with some VIA controller and came to 
decision that it's safe just to change LOG_ERR to log_info in order not 
to exit after bad checksum check.
In my environment it worked OK, resulted array was fully functional and 
I haven't seen any issues with it.
