Hey hey, I am working on a quadraphonic piece, to be reproduced in a concert venue. I have searched the web and some of my local tools which support 4-channel processing, but couldn't find any answer, if there are standard layouts/mappings to store four channels in a file. Does any have an idea or perhaps a keyword that might put my search in the right direction? To be more precise: I have four speaker channels, which should be front left, front right, rear left and rear right. From the relevant documentation ambisonic formats are not accepted.
