What about packages RHL 9 doesn't include for legal reasons, such as mp3 
support?

In the line of newer pkgs, I'd like

pine-4.5x -- adds threading support. I've got an rpm

aspell-0.5x -- the aspell in RHL 9 consumes all CPU when trying to
	parse structured documents (XML, HTML, SGML). This fixes it,
	but it's a fairly invasive change, so I don't know if it's
	worth the effort?

cipe 1.5x -- backwards-compatible, supported upstream (the version RH
	ships is years old and not supported), lots of new features
	for things like IPv6, bridging, PKI support so works in
	conjunction with dynamic IPs / NAT. Might require assembler
	hacking to compile it, though?

postfix-2.0 w/ SASL2 support -- lot more flexible than SASL1. Of course,
	it's hard to go SASL2 w/o also revving OpenLDAP....
