I had already thought of proposing the same, (aide), as I believe it's ESSENTIAL and I thought that tripwire source was still not available. Nevertheless, tripwire is on RH9 SRPMS, and on a few sparc distributions ( PLD among others, check rpmfind.net). Having said this, I will still use aide, even if I have to compile it myself (again) [as in configure;make;make install; duh!]. Regards, Silvio ps: there was a time when tripwire SRPM was not available, and only i386 binaries existed - aide is identical, except it does not guard against db modification. -- http://www.iis.ee.ic.ac.uk/smacedo Intelligent and Interactive Systems, Imperial College London Non est gravis scire omnium responsum - est gravis scire reperir illum.
