Thanks! Hm... Now sndconfig works, but sound is still not ok. Example:
[emgaron@greebo 0.4]$ play /usr/share/sounds/gtk-events/clicked.wav
sox: Unable to set the sample size to 16
or
[emgaron@greebo sounds]$ play clang.wav
sox: Unable to set the sample size to 8
A direct "cat > /dev/audio" of an au file works, though.
I know the SS20 has 16bit sound and I've used "play" with wav's under
Solaris before, so in theory it's possible. Just not under Aurora...
The output of ogg123 is dodgy as well, but that might be due to the
fact that the SS20 is underpowered for that kind of stuff?
