Mozilla Java plugin

Anyone know where to find a java plugin for mozilla-1.0.1-2.7.3sparc? I tried the blackdown jdk1.3.1 plugin for mozilla but it caused mozilla to crash. One would think that programs with a well defined module interface could figure out if the module will work before it runs it. Sigh, the stupidity... I didn't know these plugin interfaces were so unstable. Anyway, if you know of a working java plugin, I'd like to know. I have to stop telneting to our APC modules... Grr. Another issue of stupidity... APC put in backdoor passwords which can be used via telnet, but not web. So now I have to get their java applet to work in my aurora systems.
