In the development of gcc, there is a tree-ssa branch that is to be merged into the current mainline and to be the 3.5 release eventually. Now, in order to build that, one needs gmp, and especially, one needs a 64 bit capable gmp also (along with the traditional 32 bit one). As available from aurora's ftp site, many thanks to spot, there is a zlib64 available... before I start to try to make a 64 bit gmp, which is harder, I can't yet build a working one from source... I wonder if anyone lese has done one or if anyone here might help me do it?
