it works. I used :
[undefine@ares undefine]$ java -version; uname -a
java version "1.4.1"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build Blackdown-1.4.1-01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build Blackdown-1.4.1-01, mixed mode)
Linux ares 2.4.20 #4 wto gru 3 09:29:27 CET 2002 sparc64 TI_UltraSparc_IIi unknown PLD Linux
[undefine@ares undefine]$ 

on ultra 10 and works fine. I used netbeans with it and..
works. (netbeans must be installed on x86 machine and only copied to
sparc - installer is x86-only).

(PLD Linux is similar to redhat, so i think that in aurora it works too)
