I was so suprised that I actually got Aurora 2.98 installed on a Sun computer!!! it is a little sketchy-- the HAL daemon doesn't load and the video is a bit shaky, it loaded.. the question now is: what do I have to do to load Aurora on a U80? the install dies, saying something about not enough memory.... this is on a machine that is maxed... 4- 450mhz and 4 gigs of ram... do I have to strip 3 processors and 3 gigs of memory to install it? with Sun charging a king's ransom for a basic subscription for updates ($240 per year per "socket") it looks like I'll be "recycling" my Sun equipment and go back to peecees... I love Fedora, too bad the sparc version doesn't work for me... sorry for the rant.... once or twice a year... haroldkarl _______________________________________________ Aurora-sparc-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.auroralinux.org/mailman/listinfo/aurora-sparc-devel Aurora FAQ: http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~mas01r/aurorafaq.html
