It looks like there are thousands of updates packages available now. I
try to update my E450 from the most recent aurora-development version. I
had to choose first which version of Fedora 9 I can use. My choice (from
my fedora-secondary copy) finally is:
baseurl=3Dftp://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/Linux/dist/fedora-secondary/releases/9/s=
parc/os/
which seemed to me to be most recent but there are also
baseurl=3Dftp://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/Linux/dist/fedora-secondary/development/=
sparc/os/
and
baseurl=3Dftp://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/Linux/dist/fedora-secondary/releases/tes=
t/9-Beta/sparc/os/
The updates choice is obvious:
baseurl=3Dftp://ftp.icm.edu.pl/pub/Linux/dist/fedora-secondary/updates/9/sp=
arc/
except that is somewhat behind more authoritative
rsync://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/fedora-sparc/updates/9/sparc/
I got some missing dependencies, especially for gnupg2 so to update it I
have installed the following packages:
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/pth/2.0.7/7/sparcv9/pth-2.0.7-=
7.sparcv9.rpm
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/libksba/1.0.3/2.fc9/sparcv9/li=
bksba-1.0.3-2.fc9.sparcv9.rpm
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/dirmngr/1.0.1/2.fc9.1/sparcv9/=
dirmngr-1.0.1-2.fc9.1.sparcv9.rpm
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/pinentry/0.7.4/5.fc9/sparcv9/p=
inentry-0.7.4-5.fc9.sparcv9.rpm
Another missing dependency had the php-gd package. The
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/t1lib/5.1.2/2.fc9/sparcv9/t1li=
b-5.1.2-2.fc9.sparcv9.rpm
package depends on =
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/libXaw/1.0.4/2.fc9/sparcv9/lib=
Xaw-1.0.4-2.fc9.sparcv9.rpm
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/libXt/1.0.4/5.fc9/sparcv9/libX=
t-1.0.4-5.fc9.sparcv9.rpm
so I installed an older version:
http://sparc.koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/t1lib/5.1.1/3.al3/sparc/t1lib-=
5.1.1-3.al3.sparc.rpm
and I was able to finish the yum upgrade.
