Hi all, very sorry if I took the bad wording in my question. I would never have said you were not aware of the job you did. I appreciate your active work on the sparc issue and I try to contibute on other matters as far as my capabilities reach. However, I have a production system on a Ultra 60 up and running. It is not aurora based and I cannot simply reinstall because of the users depending on it. As of today, as readily mentioned I use vanilla 2.4.20 - what forms the basis of aurora 1.0, too. So my question targeted to achieve some knowledge on how far my specific infrastructure would benefit from all those patches - without any doubt that they should be there and that they are neccessary for certain architectures or whether a part of them do not hit "my" target and I could therefore leave them out for the sake of simplicity. Anyway, be assured, I did not want to be rude in any way, sorry once again if I took the wrong words. Many thanks for your efforts in advance, take care, Dieter Jurzitza -- ----------------------------------------------------------- E-Mail: Dr. Ing.
