Rsync problem - oops occurred (0.42)

All,
I've been doing a nightly rsync of a 36GB SCSI drive on my 1 CPU SS20 to
another on the same system, and it was working flawlessly up until 10
days ago. Last
night and one time prior it caused some problems and a kernel oops. Was
wondering if the obvious fix here is upgrading to 1.0. It would be a
bit of a chore at this point. This last time it crippled the system.
Any help appreciated,
-charles
