gdb for sparc{,64}-linux

I've posted the gdb list at

but as far as I can understand, the support and further development of gdb for sparc and sparc64 linux is not that moving.

if any of you guys get some time to look into compilation of gdb-5.3 and gdb cvs trunk (HEAD) that might be of help for all of us. I can¨'t get a grip on the situation myself unfortunately.. it's been some time since DaveM sposted his suggestions to the gdb list...
