Sound on SS20?

Hi all,

has anybody out there been able to get sound (or sndconfig) working on
an SS20 (Aurora 1.0)? I've sold a SS20 (2xSM50, cg6) today and the buyer
asked me whether sound works as well, so I tried sndconfig. The DBRI
was found allright, but the insertion of dbri.o failed (lsmod lists it
as "initializing" and I got a few error messages about some wait state
on SBus or suchlike). As I was surprised by that, I tried that same
thing on my own SS20 (2xSM61, cg14 and extra hme) - dbri.o got
inserted correctly, but the sound was distorted so much as not to be
recognizable. It's not the most important thing in the world (and it
didn't stop the guy from buying the SS20 <phew>), but I'm curious
whether other folks have experience with this.

P.S.: This event prompted me to try sndconfig on my U5/400 (Aurora
      1.0) and my LX (RHL 6.2) as well - both worked.
