Well... I was also very interested in updates to sendmail... especially since I run some firewalls and servers on Aurora-SPARC Linux. Some of the updates are looong overdue (sendmail being the most "famous"). There is another mailing list for security specifically: http://lists.linuxpower.org/mailman/listinfo/aurora-sparc-security and there is already a discussion on "Errata for bind/sendmail/openssl" (see archives for March 2003: http://lists.linuxpower.org/pipermail/aurora-sparc-security/2003-March/thread.html ) Aparently the maintainer of the errata packages, Jeremy Huber, is a bit busy these days and has not had the opportunity to keep them as current as he/we might like. I went ahead and downloaded the errata sources for sendmail from Red Hat directly. I just went ahead and built them on my SPARC box and installed them. They built without complaint. So far they seem to work fine. Until the errata/security updates get more current I too would be interested in any guidlines one should follow in building Red Hat SRPMs for Aurora-SPARC Linux. -David Utidjian- Physics Lab Coordinator Ramapo College of New Jersey [email protected]
