problems with aurora 2.0 on ultra 10

   Hi All,

I have a Sun ultra 10 with 330 MHz processor, 512MB ram, and the elite
3D video card. I am using a Sun GDM-17E10 monitor. I finally got aurora
2.0 installed but I still have problems when I try to boot it up for the
first time.

It goes through what looks like a normal startup and then the screen
clears and there is a small X in the center of the screen. I think that X
windows has started and that the small x on the screen is the mouse cursor
but I am not sure. I think I saw some other postings that said they had to
change the config to get X working with the elite 3D creator video but I did
not see anyone say exactly what settings in what file needs to be changed.

The other issue is how to get into the box to make any changes if I
figure out what needs to be changed. I see several postings that say to
turn off prelinking and they say to boot into single user mode and edit a
file. But where can I find any instructions on what you must do to boot
into single user mode or boot without X starting. When it boot starts I do
see a message that says press I to start in interactive mode but when I
press i or I it just keeps going as normal and ends up with the little x in
the center of the screen. I tried to ssh from another machine but I get no
connection. I am sure there must be some simple way that is obvious to
everyone else that I am missing.

   Thanks in advance
