I do not know if Solaris Java will work but what you miss using this aproach
are Solaris libraries and loader. You can copy them from an existing
Sparc-Solaris installation or extract from packages. Start just with the loader
and it should say what libraries it needs. There may be some googlable
instruction and libraries list somewhere.
