Really, I have test it - only 6% saved on CD1.
I think it is depended of CD content - the LiveCD with executable
unzipped system and programs compressed with saving ratio 60-70%
(700MB CD compressed  to 280MB zip).
But it is the fact - Linux installation CD contents in general
already-compressed RPMs ....
