Hello, Aurora-sparc-user. I want to use 4-port ethernet card D-Link DFE-580 on Sun Netra T1 with already installed Aurora 2.0. This card is known in Fedora Core as "SunDance". But 2.0 doesn't support this card, and when I attempt to recompile the kernel with CONFIG_SUNDANCE=m, compilation fails with number of errors. So, I have tried to install Aurora 2.99 (corona). The installer successfully detects all 6 network interfaces, but not initialize it. Selecting any of detected interface to use with ftp install failed, even no any dhcp packets send to selected interface (network install of Aurorra 2.0 on this hardware works well) Also, I have tried another way - have copied all *.iso files to new partition (/dev/sdb1) formatted as ext3 and after netboot have chosen "Hard drive" install. But after selecting drive/partition I get error message "failed to mount partition" without any additional info. How can I install 2.99 to my T1 as described above? (CD-ROM drive not available) -- Regards Serg mailto:[email protected] _______________________________________________ Aurora-sparc-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.auroralinux.org/mailman/listinfo/aurora-sparc-user Aurora FAQ: http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~mas01r/aurorafaq.html
