Equipment is a better use of funds than a salary, but I wouldn't support even 
that as an LA issue.

However I support getting people in Victoria to donate old hardware.  I would 
be happy to donate some switches, PCs, and other stuff from both my own 
personal stockpile and the LUV hardware library if needed.  I could arrange 
collecting a heap of computer gear for someone to make a single trip to Moe to 
deliver it.
