Thank you for that info, Will. I do like the idea of detailed Role
Descriptions for future Everything Open events.
I was on the Adelaide Core Team for the last few months and slotted into
the Volunteer Coord role until LT was ready to take on as Head Vollie
Wrangler. I also took on the Inclusion and Accessibility role to ensure
that we had different paths to get from the venue to the dinner venue,
including ensuring that at least 2 pathways existed if we had anybody with
accessibility requirements. Having such a role laid out beforehand would
have assisted the Committee in allocating resources. This role also covers
Inclusion such as making certain the venue has the Telecoil Loop turned on
for those like me with hearing problems. The venue still let us down, yet
again.
Having Roles defined for events could also include Checklists for important
tasks like that.
