By "black screen" do you mean the entire screen is black or that it is in 
black and white text displaying a panic message?

If the former then why do you think it's a CPU error not an error with 
corrupted RAM, video hardware, or any the other things?

Any mysterious crash could be a CPU error, but problems with RAM, motherboard, 
etc are more likely.  It's a pity that it's almost impossible to get a laptop 
with ECC RAM.
