bug#331: feature req: fall-through boot

Package: syslinux

a feature that would be very handy is to have the default boot settable
to the installed hard drive.

I've done this on a floppy by using a borrowed syslinux.cfg entry
(borrowed from a SCO united linux install image) that looked like:

# hard disk
label harddisk
  kernel linux
  append SLX=0x202


of course, to work as the request intends, this entry would have to be set
as the default.

the reason for this request is it would be nice to leave such a CD
in production systems and in the event of problems, they could be
brought up on the BBC image and repaired via remote console.  However, in the 
event of a power failure the machine would boot normally after the timeout.
