bug#346: Module autoprobing (e.g. apm module and /proc/apm)

Package: linux I tried "cat /proc/apm", and it didn't work (it said there was no such file); then I did "modprobe apm; cat /proc/apm" and it worked fine. We've recently made several things into modules which had previously been built into the kernel. This experience makes me concerned that some things won't autoprobe. Which modules should autoprobe and what needs to be done to make them do so?
