User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.3i package: wireless-tools severity: wishlist We currently hand-force the version of the wireless extensions with: FORCE_WEXT_VERSION = 12 We should grab it from the kernel/linux source here: ./include/linux/wireless.h:#define WIRELESS_EXT 13 This will likely mean a SRCDEP and so forth. We're currently just keeping it up to date, but that's not the right way. INkblot may know the best way to do this. -- end --------------------------------------- Received: (at 373-done) by bugs.lnx-bbc.org; 2 May 2003 05:39:36 +0000 From [email protected] Thu May 01 22:39:36 2003 Received: from goose.movealong.org ([66.93.80.69]) by gargoyle.lnx-bbc.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 #1 (Debian)) id 19BTGi-0000TV-00 for <[email protected]>; Thu, 01 May 2003 22:39:36 -0700 Received: by goose.movealong.org (Postfix, from userid 1001) id 46CCD44112; Fri, 2 May 2003 00:40:52 -0500 (CDT) Date: Fri, 2 May 2003 00:40:52 -0500 From: Nate Riffe <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: New var in kernel/linux/package-api.mk Message-ID: <[email protected]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline X-pw: reindeer flotilla User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.4i The new KERNEL_WIRELESS_EXT variable in kernel/linux/package-api.mk now exports the version of the Wireless Extensions that are being built in the kernel. Packages which need this value should add "kernel/linux/package-api.mk" to GAR_EXTRA_CONF before including gar.mk. wireless-tools has been modified to use this facility and properly receives the version number from the kernel. -- --< ((\))< >----< [email protected] >----< http://www.movealong.org/ >-- The general miseducation of the population of the United States has led to a reassertion of simple platitudes as political discourse. pub 1024D/05A058E0 2002-03-07 Nate Riffe (06-Mar-2002) <[email protected]> Key fingerprint = 0DAC F5CB D182 3165 D757 C466 CD42 12A8 05A0 58E0
