Powerpc compatability

I just throught I'd point to some items about what machines will be
compatable with a PowerPC LNX-BBC

For one, you're limited by the machines supported by yaboot, which
according to the webpage[1] is "'NewWorld' class PowerMacs (iMac and all
machines released after it), RS/6000, and possibly other OF based CHRP
machines."  CHRP includes the POP motherboard spec that IBM released a
few years back and one or two people actually built products off of.

Of course, I don't know if it's feasable to have kernels for PowerMac,
RS/6000, and CHRP on one disk, but you could probably do it.

Also, since were using the 2.4.19 kernel, some of the newer Macintoshes
won't work.  This should just be machines released in very late 2002 or
in 2003[2].

And, of course since we're shooting for a business-card CD, there is the
issue of the slot-loading drives on some Apple machines.  None of the
slot-loading drives used by apple will support CDs of non-standard size,
and the slot-loading drives used by the G4 TiBooks can't even handle
standard mini-cds, either.[3] I think that the slotted trays mentioned
on that page are just limited to the one model, but either way it can be
treated the same as a slot-loading drive in our case.
