boot-alternate-kernel is a script that uses Two-Kernel Monte, which is
currently broken for us.  It allowed you to boot the system under
another kernel (from any medium or network source) after booting it
with LNX-BBC.  If we could get monte working again, I would be really
pleased.

This has no connection with multiple kernels on El Torito no-emulation
discs, for example (where you're selecting the kernel from a finite
list at boot-loader time, without access to the network or local
filesystems).
