The modifications that I've done are relatively small. I will merge the modifications that don't hinge upon the 2.4 kernel specifically into research this week (hopefully). I'll need to revisit the merge procedure for arch again. In any case, here is the gist of the patchset revisions from research--0.0--patch-10: a) Modify kernel/linux package declaration to reflect 2.4.26, sweeten .config to taste. (Mainly based upon the config of HEAD cvs, Feb. 24) b) NUV busybox c) NUV cloop to GAR_SUBVERSION=-4. d) In linux/kernel-headers, remove the mrproper in CONFIGURE_SCRIPTS (this was giving cloop-module fits -- because mrproper would reset the .config and omit the ZLIB_INFLATE capabilities in the kernel). Even after downversioning cloop to where the zcode would drop libz.a didn't help -- the builds would complete successfully, but died on bootup with unresolved symbols (because of the mrproper!). e) I moved zlib to a LIBDEP in kernel/cloop, and added LDFLAGS+=$(DESDIR)$(libdir), but I think that the show stopper was the mrproper issue above. The other patches revolve around tweaks to the autobuild script. So, research and "gray-project" aren't too far apart at this point.
