There is no devfs in 2.6.13, so there was no /dev/hd* or /dev/cdrom* files, and it wasn't finding the singularity to mount. The error msg used 'cat', when it probably should have used echo. I added some mknod commands and got a bit farther. Still trying to work around lack of /devfs though... I've hacked my way to user-space now....will work on making it function w/out devfs next...
