Changing main.txt and the FB Lnx-bbc Logo.

Howdy all. I'm new to lnx-bbc and I like what I have seen so far. I have been 
doing some testing on the 2.0-beta but haven't found anything that is not 
already written up as a bug.  A big thanks to the developers for a lot of 
good work!

I am not a developer and don't plan on changing much, but I would like to add 
my name and Email to the main.txt page and to the logo that shows at the top 
of the screen during a frame buffer boot. I want to be able to hand these out 
to clients so I want them to know how to contact me.

To change main.txt I have tried a couple of  ANSI editors but they don't seem 
to be compatible with the original text. Could someone let me know what 
package (if any) was used to create main.txt? 

As for the framebuffer logo, I have searched around for some tools to help 
out. So far the GIMP plugin looks like it may be the best option. Any other 
suggestions?
